14 July - Horsham

The first day of our big trip, and we're in the middle of what the weather bureau is calling an Antarctic cold front. Certainly drove through icy cold rain for most of the day and at one stage there were so many dark clouds ahead it looked like we were driving towards Mt Doom.
We got away nice and early at 08:00 and arrived at our first stop Horsham by 2:45 which is not bad progress for a 480 km leg. About an hour after arriving the skies cleared and the forecast for tomorrow looks a lot better. Tomorrow we head for Adelaide and then on to Gawler.
