9 April - Echuca, Vic

We arrived in Echuca on Saturday after overnighting in Yea. The weather since we left last Friday has been perfect. We've spend the last couple of days just catching up with our friends, and more are due to join us later in the week.
As it's school holiday time it's quite busy here both in the caravan park and in the town. Our park is right on the Murray river and periodically we hear the steam whistle of the Emmylou paddle steamer cruising up and down the river.
Went for a walk late this afternoon to get a few photos. The old river gums look fantastic in the late afternoon light.

By the time I reached the old port most of the crowds were gone giving me the opportunity to photograph some of the old machinery dotted around the place. Over the next few days other friends will join us - it will be good to catch up with everyone.
