Woke this morning to find lots of emails and SMS containing birthday wishes. Yes another year has unbelievably rolled around and thanks everybody for the best wishes. Had a couple of nice surprises this morning - as we were leaving the restaurant after breakfast one of the staff came up to me and said "Happy Birthday Mr. Theo" and when we got to the room, there was a little birthday cake waiting for me.
Very nice touch, they must have got my date of birth from the passport. We decided today to relax by the pool and it was fantastic.
Relaxing is very tiring and we spent a couple of hours this afternoon taking naps.
Late in the afternoon I managed to get a couple of photos as the sun was setting. It's a great sight to see all the people taking advantage of the lovely evening for a walk on the beach.
Then it was time for gin and tonics after which we walked into Seminyak and found a nice restaurant to have dinner and some more drinks - a lovely relaxing day. We walked home in the balmy evening for coffee at John and Sandra's place. Not a bad way to spend my 73d birthday!
